Visitor Information
We exist to know Jesus and make him known.
The best place to start is with our name, Eastside Community Church. Firstly, we are located on the east side of Brisbane, in the Manly West area. Second, we’ve got community as our middle name, because the whole point of what we do is to help people from our community connect with God and each other in an authentic Christian community. So at any Eastside event, you’ll find dads, mums, singles, children, young people, retirees, and grandparents meeting in large services and small discipleship groups. Finally, we are a church, which means we’re all about Jesus – we often like to say that we exist to know Jesus and make Him known. And, the only way to know Jesus is to understand what the Bible says about him.
Below are some answers to common questions if you’ve never come to our church before.
What are your service times?
We run two services each Sunday.
8:00am – 9:15am
10:00am – 11:15am
If you’re coming to the 10:00am service, we encourage you to arrive from 9:15am to make the most of the community time and enjoy a coffee from our coffee cart.
How do I get there?
Eastside Community Church is located in Brisbane’s eastern suburbs at 568 Wondall Road, Manly West. Visit our Contact Us page to view our location on a map and get directions.
Will I be singled out?
Absolutely not. Each Sunday there will people just like you checking out Eastside Community Church for the first time. We want you to feel welcome!

What kind of church are you? What do you believe?
Eastside Community Church belongs to the Queensland Baptists family of churches. You can learn more about the beliefs of the Queensland Baptist family of churches here. We also have a page dedicated to outlining our beliefs with links to positional papers on a range of theological matters. We encourage you to read them with your bible open to gain deeper insight into our theological convictions as a church.

What is there for my kids?
Eastside Kids (Kids Church)
Our Eastside Kids program is for children aged 18 months to grade 6. We start our church services with all the children present – they are just as much a part of the church as any adult. Then, about 1/3 of the way through the service, they go out with their teachers to their Eastside Kids program. While we aim for the kids to have lots of fun, the central purpose of Eastside Kids is to introduce children to the good news of Jesus. At the start of Eastside Kids, we sing together, hear a Bible talk from one of the leaders, and then split into small groups to discuss the Bible talk together. The younger children (18 months to grade 1) spend this time in Creche.
Kids Club & Youth Group
On Friday nights during school terms we also run a Kids Club and Youth Group. Our Youth Group is for for children/teenagers in grades 7-12 and our Kid’s Club is for for children in grades 3-6.
What can I expect if I visit on a Sunday?
When you arrive on a Sunday morning you will be welcomed by our greeting team. They will give you a welcome pack, which has information about Eastside’s various ministries and a free coffee voucher you can redeem at our coffee cart. They will also help you should you have any problems or questions.
The typical service would begin with a reading from God’s Word followed by singing. We have a time of prayer, a reading from the Bible, and a sermon that seeks to unpack and apply God’s Word to us.
Between 9:15am-10:00am we have time to chat and connect between our two services, and most Sundays our coffee cart will be available during this time.
If you have any other questions, please reach out to us at hello@eastside.org.au we would love to help you out.
